Boro 0 – Huddersfield 2: The Terriers travel to the Riverside Stadium and get victory

Huddersfield Town strolled past Middlesbrough with a 2-0 win on Monday at the Riverside Stadium. With both teams drawing in their previous fixtures, they were keen to pick up points. Boro wanted to continue adding points following a disappointing 0-0 draw with Bournemouth in their previous game. Huddersfield, on the other hand, secured a point against Queens Park Rangers in their previous match. Following today’s result, Boro are in 8th place on the table and has 63 points while Huddersfield sit in 3rd with 73 points after 43 matches.
Huddersfield started strongly in the first half, with Naby Sarr giving Huddersfield the lead just before half-time, finishing the first half 0-1.
The Terriers continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, thanks to a goal from Jordan Rhodes in the 60th minute, sealing a 2-0 victory for the home side.
Both managers used all available substitutions. For Boro, Josh Coburn, Folarin Balogun and Aaron Connolly, came on for Souleymane Bamba, Andraz Sporar and Duncan Watmore, Huddersfield brought on Josh Koroma, Josh Ruffels and Scott High to replace Sorba Thomas, Harry Toffolo and Jordan Rhodes.
There were bookings for Souleymane Bamba, Riley McGree and Marc Bola from Boro, and Harry Toffolo, Lewis O’Brien and Jonathan Russell, for Huddersfield.
Boro will next travel to Swansea City, while Huddersfield will face Barnsley at home.
