Boro 0 – Fulham 1: The Cottagers travel to the Riverside Stadium and get victory

Fulham beats Middlesbrough 1-0 on Wednesday at the Riverside Stadium. Both sides arrived in good form, having secured victories in their previous matches. Boro were looking to pick up points after winning their previous two games against Peterborough United away and Birmingham City away, by 4-0 and 2-0 respectively whilst Fulham were able to continue their winning streak after a 2-0 win against Queens Park Rangers in their last match. As the table looks today, Boro are in 7th place, with 62 points from 30 matches, while Fulham sit in 1st, with 83 points from 30.
After an un-eventful first half, Fulham continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, with a goal from Aleksandar Mitrovic at the 73 minute mark, leaving the final score at 1-0.
Both managers used allfull available substitutions. For Boro, Marc Bola, Riley McGree and Josh Coburn, came on for Neil Taylor, Lee Peltier and Matt Crooks, Fulham brought on Neeskens Kebano, Joshua Onomah and Antonee Robinson to replace Bobby Reid, Nathaniel Chalobah and Joe Bryan.
There were bookings for Matt Crooks, Riley McGree and Paddy McNair from Boro, and Fabio Carvalho and Harrison Reed, for Fulham.
