Luton 1 – QPR 2: Rangers get narrow win against The Hatters

Queens Park Rangers enjoyed a mesmerising away victory against Luton at Kenilworth Road on Sunday. With each team arriving on the back of a league defeat, they were both keen to pick up points. Luton were looking forward to meeting again, following a previous defeat to Middlesbrough whilst QPR were beaten 2-1 in the previous match against Cardiff City. As things stand, Luton are in 7th place on the table and has 57 points while QPR sit in 4th with 59 points after 37 matches.

It was an impressive opening from The Hatters, with Cameron Jerome giving Luton the lead at the 37 minute mark, finishing the first half 1-0.

Rangers fought back, thanks to Andre Gray finding the net at the 55 minute mark. However they weren’t finished yet and Rob Dickie made it 2-1 at the 83 minute mark to make it 2-1.

Both coaches used all substitutions. For Luton, Henri Lansbury, Harry Cornick and Robert Snodgrass, came on for Ruddock Pelly, Cameron Jerome and Jordan Clark, QPR brought on Charlie Austin, Luke Amos and Chris Willock to replace Ilias Chair, Jeff Hendrick and Andre Gray.

The referee booked three players from QPR, Ilias Chair, Luke Amos and Lee Wallace.

Luton will play their next fixture at home against Preston North End, while QPR will face Nottingham Forest away.
