Luton 1 – Blackpool 1: Honours even and points shared at Kenilworth Road

On Saturday, Luton and Blackpool were held to a 1-1 draw at Kenilworth Road. Both Luton and Blackpool arrived in good form, having secured victories in their previous matches. Luton were looking to pick up points after winning their previous two matches in the league. The most recent was against the Cardiff City away (1-0), the other to Nottingham Forest at home (1-0). Blackpool, on the other hand, were looking to extend their winning run after a 6-1 victory against Birmingham City. At the moment, Luton are in 4th place on the table and has 72 points while Blackpool sit in 16th with 57 points after 44 matches.
Luton started strongly in the first half, with an early goal from Elijah Adebayo in the 2nd minute. They then managed to see out the first half 1-0.
Blackpool staged a comeback in the second half, thanks to a goal from Gary Madine, 55 minutes in and seeing the game end 1-1.
Both coaches used allfull available substitutions. For Luton, Admiral Muskwe, Henri Lansbury, and Cameron Jerome, came on for Sonny Bradley, Dan Potts, and Harry Cornick, Blackpool brought on Josh Bowler and Shayne Lavery, to replace Charlie Kirk and Jake Beesley.
The referee booked four players from Blackpool, Kenny Dougall, CJ Hamilton, Gary Madine and Shayne Lavery.
Luton will next play Fulham away, with Blackpool facing Derby County at home.
