Championship – Luton Town are eliminated and Huddersfield Town advance, following their home win in the semifinal return match

Huddersfield move to the next round of the Championship after a rewarding home victory against Luton, winning 1-0 on the day. After the 90 minutes of play, the final result was 1-0 to Huddersfield, which followed the first leg 1-1 draw at Luton. With this victory, Huddersfield will fight in the final of the Championship to win the title of Champion.

After an un-eventful first half, Huddersfield applied pressure in the second and were rewarded, with a goal from Jordan Rhodes at the 82 minute mark and seeing the game end 1-0.

Both teams used all available substitutes. For Huddersfield, Jordan Rhodes, Sorba Thomas and Naby Sarr, came on for Danny Ward, Danel Sinani and Duane Holmes, Luton brought on Cameron Jerome, Carlos Mendes Gomes and Elijah Adebayo to replace Danny Hylton, Reece Burke and Harry Cornick.

The referee booked Jordan Clark, Kal Naismith and Cameron Jerome for Luton.

With this win, The Terriers has only the final of the Championship to become the new Champion of the season.
