Gillingham FC 0 – Rotherham 2: The Millers get valuable away win at Mems Priestfield Stadium

Rotherham United defeat Gillingham FC 2-0 on Saturday at Mems Priestfield Stadium. Gillingham FC were looking to get back their winning ways, following a previous defeat to Portsmouth FC. Rotherham, on the other hand, were looking to extend their winning run after a 2-1 victory against Oxford United. This left, Gillingham FC and Rotherham are 21st (40 points) and 2nd (90 points) in the table respectively, after a total of 46 matches.
It was an impressive opening from Rotherham, thanks to a goal from Rarmani Edmonds-Green in the 34th minute. The first half ended 0-1.
The Millers continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, with Georgie Kelly finding the net just before the final whistle. The game ended with a 2-0 victory for the visitors.
Both managers used allfull available substitutions. For Gillingham FC, Mustapha Carayol, Daniel Phillips and Gerald Sithole, came on for Olly Lee, Conor Masterson and David Tutonda, Rotherham replaced Joe Mattock, Georgie Kelly and Hakeem Odofin with Jordi Osei-Tutu, Michael Smith and Oliver Rathbone.
