Fleetwood Town 1-1 Wycombe: All square at Highbury Stadium

Fleetwood Town were helde ach other to a 1-1 draw by Wycombe on Saturday at Highbury Stadium. With both teams drawing in their previous fixtures, they were each keen to pick up points. Fleetwood Town arrived with the intention of improving their league position after a 2-2 draw against Lincoln City. Wycombe had to settle for a draw 1-1 against Charlton Athletic. both teams are now on 8 points and occupy 15th and 14th places respectively after 7 matches.

It was an impressive opening from Wycombe, when Anis Mehmeti gave them the lead on the 39 minute mark to see out the first half 1-0.

Fleetwood Town took the initiative in the second half, when Admiral Muskwe found the net, 67 minutes in, seing the match finish 1-1.

Substitutions for Fleetwood Town included Lewis Warrington, Cian Hayes, Joe Garner, Gerard Garner and Promise Omochere for Harvey Macadam, Paddy Lane, Andrew Baker, Daniel Batty and Carlos Mendes Gomes, respectively. Wycombe brought on Ali Al-Hamadi, Joe Jacobson and Jason McCarthy for Anis Mehmeti, Jordan Obita and Dominic Gape.

The referee booked Admiral Muskwe from Fleetwood Town. Wycombe had the worst of it though, with Max Stryjek seeing yellow, and Garath McCleary then sent off with a red.

Fleetwood Town will next travel to Burton Albion, while Wycombe will face Port Vale at home.
