Doncaster Rovers 1 – Bolton Wanderers 2: Visitors ecstatic after win at Keepmoat Stadium

Doncaster Rovers fell to a home defeat at the hands of Bolton Wanderers at Keepmoat Stadium on Friday. Doncaster Rovers were looking to pick up points after winning last match. Bolton Wanderers, on the other hand, are struggling for form following a draw in their last match. As it stands, Doncaster Rovers are in 23rd place, with 33 points from 43 matches, while Bolton Wanderers sit in 11th, with 64 points from 43.

Bolton Wanderers started well, with a goal from Amadou Bakayoko just before half-time, seeing out the first half 0-1.

Doncaster Rovers took the initiative in the second half, thanks to a goal from Ademipo Odubeko, at 77 minutes. Bolton Wanderers managed to edge ahead with a goal from Kieran Sadlier in the 78th minute and seeing the game end 2-1.

Both teams used all available substitutes. For Doncaster Rovers, Ethan Gaibraith, Ademipo Odubeko and Joe Dodoo, came on for Aidan Barlow, John Bostock and Matthew Smith, Bolton Wanderers brought on Dion Charles, Elias Kachunga and Oladapo Afolayan, to replace Amadou Bakayoko, Jon Bodvarsson and George Thomason.

There were bookings for Ethan Gaibraith and Ro-Shaun Williams from Doncaster Rovers, and Jordan Williams, George Thomason, Amadou Bakayoko and George Johnston, for Bolton Wanderers.

Doncaster Rovers will play their next fixture away against Shrewsbury Town, while Bolton Wanderers will face Accrington Stanley at home.
