Coventry 0 – Luton 1: The Hatters ease past The Sky Blues at Coventry Building Society Arena

Luton Town snatched all three points from Coventry City in a 1-0 victory on Tuesday, at Coventry Building Society Arena. Both sides came from defeats in their previous league games. Coventry were hoping to get something from this game after losing their last game 3-1 to Swansea City. Luton, on the other hand, were beaten 2-1 in the previous match against Middlesbrough. As it stands, Coventry are currently 11th with 51 points from 26 matches, while Luton sit in 6th, with 57 points from 26.

Luton started strong and were rewarded, with Elijah Adebayo giving The Hatters the lead in the 38th minute, to take a 0-1 lead into half time. Both teams struggled to produce anything meaningful in the second half, leaving the final score at 1-0.

For Coventry, Callum O`Hare and Fabio Tavares, came on for Martyn Waghorn and Matt Godden. Luton brought on Cameron Jerome, Allan Campbell and Henri Lansbury, to replace Harry Cornick, Luke Berry and Jordan Clark.

There were bookings for Jamie Allen, Jake Clarke-Salter and Kyle McFadzean from Coventry, and Amari Bell, Harry Cornick, Cameron Jerome, Elijah Adebayo and Reece Burke, for Luton.

Coventry next face Sheffield United and Luton are at home to Queens Park Rangers.
