Coventry 0 – Hull City 2: Visitors secure points with win at Coventry Building Society Arena

Hull City enjoyed a mesmerising away victory against Coventry at Coventry Building Society Arena on Wednesday. Coventry were looking to pick up points, following a 4-1 victory against Sheffield United. Hull City, on the other hand, secured a point against Birmingham City in their previous match. As the table looks today, Coventry are in 11th place on the table and has 54 points while Hull City sit in 19th with 41 points after 38 matches.
Hull City started the game well, with an early goal from Richard Smallwood in the 3rd minute. Hull City then netted once more and increased their advantage thanks to a goal from Ryan Longman, 27 minutes in to see out the first half 0-2. Both teams struggled to produce anything meaningful in the second half, leaving the final score at 2-0.
Both coaches made full use of their substitutions. For Coventry, Fabio Tavares, Jordan Shipley and Martyn Waghorn, came on for Matt Godden, Jamie Allen and Gustavo Hamer, Hull City brought on Greg Docherty, Callum Elder and Allahyar Sayyad, to replace Regan Slater, Ryan Longman and Tom Eaves.
The referee booked Gustavo Hamer and Ian Maatsen for Coventry.
Coventry will next play Derby County away, with Hull City facing Luton Town at home.
