Cheltenham Town 2-1 Cambridge: Robins snap Cambridge winning streak

Cheltenham Town banked all three points against the Cambridge Utd in a 2-1 victory on Tuesday, at Jonny-Rocks Stadium. Cheltenham Town were on the hunt for more points after a 2-2 draw against Port Vale. Cambridge were hoping to continue their winning streak after back-to-back victories against Lincoln City and Burton Albion. Cheltenham Town are now in 19th place on the table and have 8 points while Cambridge sit in 6th with 13 points after 9 matches.

Cambridge started the match strongly, when Adam May gave them the lead in the 28th minute, finishing the first half 1-0.

Cheltenham Town continued to pile on the pressure in the second half and were rewarded, with a goal from Daniel N`Lundulu in the 59th minute. Cheltenham Town then scored once more and turned the match thanks to a goal from Alfie May in the 83rd minute to make it 2-1.

Substitutions for Cheltenham Town included Ben Williams, Alfie May, Christian Norton, Ellis Chapman and Charlie Raglan for William Ferry, George Lloyd, Ryan Jackson, Taylor Perry and Daniel N`Lundulu, respectively. Cambridge brought on Liam O’Neil, James Brophy, Fejiri Okenabirhie and Jack Lankester, to replace Shilow Tracey, Sam Smith, Joe Ironside and Adam May.

There were bookings for Ryan Broom, Daniel N`Lundulu and Luke Southwood from Cheltenham Town, and Harvey Knibbs and James Brophy, for Cambridge.

Cheltenham Town will next travel to Accrington Stanley, while Cambridge will face Barnsley at home.
