Burton Albion 0-2 Port Vale: The Valiants secure accomplished away win

Port Vale enjoyed a mesmerising away victory against Burton Albion at Pirelli Stadium on Saturday. With each team arriving on the back of a league defeat, they were both keen to pick up points. Burton Albion arrived at the match looking pick up points, following a previous defeat to Ipswich Town. Port Vale had lost their previous match against Milton Keynes Dons. As it stands, Burton Albion are in 24th place, with 1 point from 5 matches, while Port Vale sit in 11th, with 7 points from 5.

After an uneventful first half, The Valiants certainly were out of the blocks quickly in the second half, with an early goal from Ben Garrity in the 49th minute. Port Vale then netted once more and increased their lead thanks to a goal from Ellis Harrison just before the final whistle to make it 2-0.

Substitutions for Burton Albion included Louis Moult, Joe Powell and Quevin for Victor Adeboyejo, Davis Keillor-Dunn and Adedeji Oshilaja, repectively. Port Vale brought on Gavin Massey, Harry Charsley, William Forrester, Dan Jones and Thierry Small, to replace David Worrall, Tom Conlon, Tom Pett, Malvind Benning and Ellis Harrison.
