Bristol Rovers 2-2 Morecambe: Shrimpers dig in for a point at the Memorial

Bristol Rovers were helde ach other to a 2-2 draw by Morecambe FC on Saturday at Memorial Stadium. Bristol Rovers arrived with the intention of improving their league position following a disappointing 1-1 draw with Shrewsbury Town in their previous game, while Morecambe FC were beaten 4-0 in their previous match against Milton Keynes Dons. Bristol Rovers are currently 16th with 8 points from 7 matches, while Morecambe FC sit in 22nd, with 4 points from 7.

Morecambe FC started strongly in the first half, when Jensen Weir gave them the lead, at 12 minutes. However, their celebrations were kept brief, as Ryan Loft equalised for Bristol Rovers on the 29 minute mark, concluding the first half 1-1.

Morecambe FC started the second half with renewed vigour, when Kieran Phillips gave them the lead, at 53 minutes. In the end though, their lead was short-lived, as Bobby Thomas equalised for Bristol Rovers in the 80th minute. The match ended wih a 2-2 draw.
