Bristol Rovers 0-1 Accrington Stanley: Visitors steal the show at Memorial Stadium

Accrington Stanley strolled past Bristol Rovers with a 1-0 win on Saturday at Memorial Stadium. Bristol Rovers were looking to get back to winning ways after losing their last match 6-3 to Lincoln City. Accrington Stanley, meanwhile, were able to continue their winning streak after a 1-0 win against Cheltenham Town in their last match. Bristol Rovers and Accrington Stanley currently occupy 21st and 13th spots in the table, with 8 points and 13 points respectively after 11 matches.

After a goalless first half, Accrington Stanley certainly were out of the blocks quickly in the second half, thanks to a goal from Joe Pritchard, at 54 minutes. When the final whistle blew, the result was 1-0 to Accrington Stanley.

Substitutions for Bristol Rovers included Jordan Rossiter, Antony Evans, John Marquis and Sylvester Jasper for Paul Coutts, Trevor Clarke, Luke McCormick and Harry Anderson, respectively. Accrington Stanley brought on Dan Martin, Ethan Hamilton and Mo Sangare, to replace Seamus Conneely, Shaun Whalley and Tommy Leigh.

There were bookings for Ryan Loft and Antony Evans from Bristol Rovers, and Ryan Astley, Sean McConville and Harvey Rodgers, for Accrington Stanley.

Bristol Rovers will next travel to Exeter City, while Accrington Stanley will face Morecambe FC at home.
