Bournemouth 1 – Peterborough United 1: The Cherries can only manage draw at home

On Tuesday, Bournemouth and Peterborough United were held to a 1-1 draw at the Vitality Stadium. Both teams came from defeats in their previous league games. Bournemouth were hoping to get something from this game after losing 2-1 to Preston North End in their previous fixture. Peterborough United, on the other hand, lost 3-0 in the last match they played against Huddersfield Town. Following today’s result, Bournemouth and Peterborough United currently occupy 2nd and 24th spots in the table, with 62 points and 22 points respectively after 26 matches.
Peterborough United started strongly in the first half, thanks to a goal from Jack Marriott, 30 minutes in, seeing out the first half 0-1.
Bournemouth started the second half with renewed vigour, with Ryan Christie finding the net in the 52nd minute. The game ended wih a 1-1 draw.
Both managers used allfull available substitutions. For Bournemouth, Jaidon Anthony, Emiliano Marcondes and Jamal Lowe, came on for Jack Stacey, Siriki Dembele and Philip Billing, Peterborough United brought on Sammie Szmodics, Ricky Jade-Jones and Joe Taylor to replace Jack Taylor, Jack Marriott and Jonson Clarke-Harris.
There were bookings for Jordan Zemura and Philip Billing from Bournemouth, and Harrison Burrows, for Peterborough United.
Peterborough United and Bournemouth will next play at home to Stoke City and Derby County respectively.
