Bournemouth 2 – Derby 0: The Rams beaten away by The Cherries

Bournemouth beat Derby County with a thumping 2-0 victory on Saturday at the Vitality Stadium. Bournemouth were looking forward to meeting again after losing their last game 2-1 to Preston North End. Derby were able to continue their winning streak after a 2-0 win against Barnsley in their last match. After today’s result, Bournemouth and Derby sit 2nd, (65 points) and 23rd, (24 points), in the table respectively, after 37 matches.

Bournemouth continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, thanks to Jamal Lowe finding the net just before the final whistle, leaving the final score at 2-0.

Both managers used the full entitlement. For Bournemouth, Jordan Zemura, Jamal Lowe and Ben Pearson, came on for Leif Davis, Todd Cantwell and Ryan Christie, Derby brought on Festy Ebosele, Kazim and Jason Knight, to replace Krystian Bielik, Luke Plange and Malcolm Ebiowei.

There were bookings for Jack Stacey, Todd Cantwell and Ryan Christie from Bournemouth, and Ravel Morrison and Curtis Davies, for Derby.

Bournemouth will next play Reading at home, with Derby facing Blackburn Rovers away.
