Bolton Wanderers 0 – Plymouth Argyle 1: Visitors secure points with win at University of Bolton Stadium

Plymouth Argyle beat Bolton Wanderers with a thumping 1-0 victory on Saturday at University of Bolton Stadium. Both Bolton Wanderers and Plymouth Argyle arrived in good form, having secured victories in their previous matches. Bolton Wanderers were looking to pick up points after winning last match. Plymouth Argyle, on the other hand, were able to continue their winning streak after a 2-0 win against Morecambe FC in their last match. After today’s result, Bolton Wanderers and Plymouth Argyle currently occupy 11th and 6th spots in the league, with 55 points and 65 points respectively after 38 matches.

Plymouth Argyle started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, with Macauley Gillesphey giving Plymouth Argyle the lead just before half-time, to take a 0-1 lead into half time. Both teams struggled to produce anything meaningful in the second half, leaving the final score at 1-0.

Both teams used all available substitutes. For Bolton Wanderers, Kieran Sadlier, Amadou Bakayoko and Elias Kachunga, came on for George Johnston, Jon Bodvarsson and Dion Charles, Plymouth Argyle brought on Panutche Camara, Luke Jephcott and Steven Sessegnon, to replace Ryan Broom, Niall Ennis and Conor Grant.

Bolton Wanderers will next play Crewe Alexandra away, with Plymouth Argyle facing Accrington Stanley at home.
