Bolton 2-0 Lincoln City: The Trotters get the job done at home

Bolton Wanderers eased past Lincoln City in a 2-0 victory on Saturday at University of Bolton Stadium. Both sides arrived on the back of wins. Bolton Wanderers were looking to pick up points after winning their previous two games against Peterborough United at home and Milton Keynes Dons away, by 1-0 and 2-0 respectively while Lincoln City were coming from consecutive wins against Bristol Rovers and Derby County. Bolton Wanderers are now in 6th place on the table and have 20 points while Lincoln City sit in 13th with 13 points after 12 matches.

Bolton Wanderers once more applied the pressure in the second period and were rewarded, thanks to a goal from Jon Bodvarsson, 84 minutes in, leaving the final score at 2-0.

Both teams used all available substitutes. Substitutions for Bolton Wanderers included Kyle Dempsey, Jon Bodvarsson and Oladapo Afolayan for Kieran Lee, Elias Kachunga and Dion Charles, respectively, Lincoln City brought on Max Sanders, Daniel Mandroiu and Tashan Oakley-Boothe to replace Lasse Sorensen, Jordan Garrick and Ben House.

There were bookings for Jordan Williams, George Johnston and James Trafford from Bolton Wanderers, and Adam Jackson and Ben House, for Lincoln City.

Bolton Wanderers will next travel to Forest Green Rovers, while Lincoln City will face Charlton Athletic at home.
