Blackburn 0 – Bournemouth 3: Rovers humbled at home by on form The Cherries

Blackburn on Saturday lost to Bournemouth on a home defeat at Ewood Park. Blackburn had been hopeful of continuing their run, following a 4-1 victory against Preston North End. Bournemouth, on the other hand, had to settle for a draw 1-1 against Fulham. As the table looks today, Blackburn are in 9th place on the table and has 66 points while Bournemouth sit in 2nd with 82 points after 45 matches.
Bournemouth started strongly in the first half, with Dominic Solanke opening the rout at the 21 minute mark and managed to see out the first half 0-1.
Bournemouth continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, with Philip Billing finding the net, at 70 minutes. The Cherries then scored once more and increased their advantage thanks to a second effort from Philip Billing at the 79 minute mark to make it 3-0.
For Blackburn, Tyrhys Dolan, Ian Poveda and Bradley Dack, came on for Joe Rothwell, Ryan Hedges and Sam Gallagher. Bournemouth brought on Siriki Dembele and Jamal Lowe, to replace Jaidon Anthony and Dominic Solanke.
There were bookings for Scott Wharton, Ryan Hedges, John Buckley and Jan Paul Van Hecke from Blackburn. For Bournemouth, Nathaniel Phillips saw yellow.
Blackburn will next play Birmingham City away, with Bournemouth facing Millwall at home.
