Birmingham 1 – Blackburn 2: Rovers, fearless, go to St Andrew’s Stadium and win

Blackburn Rovers defeat Birmingham City 2-1 on Saturday at St Andrew’s Stadium. Birmingham wanted to continue adding points following a disappointing 1-1 draw with Cardiff City in their previous game. Blackburn lost 3-0 in the last match they played against Bournemouth. This left, Birmingham are in 20th place on the table and has 47 points while Blackburn sit in 8th with 69 points after 46 matches.

Blackburn started the game well, with John Buckley finding the net in the 29th minute. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a goal from Ben Brereton just before half-time to see out the first half 0-2.

Birmingham took the initiative in the second half, thanks to a goal from Kristian Pedersen, 78 minutes in. The game ended 2-1.

Both coaches used all available substitutions. For Birmingham, George Hall, Jobe Bellingham and Scott Hogan, came on for Juninho Bacuna, Tahith Chong and Lyle Taylor, Blackburn brought on Bradley Dack, Dilan Markanday and Jack Vale, to replace Tayo Edun, Ben Brereton and Sam Gallagher.

The referee booked one player from Blackburn, Tayo Edun.
