Rennes 2-1 Dynamo: The Rennais seal precious win at the Roazhon Park

Rennes’ 2-1 win over Dynamo Kyiv on Thursday, was hard fought at the Roazhon Park. Rennes were on the hunt for more points following a disappointing 2-2 draw with Fenerbahçe in their previous game while Dynamo were beaten 1-0 in their previous match against AEK Larnaca. Rennes are now in 2nd place, with 7 points from 3 matches, while Dynamo sit in 4th, with 0 points from 3.

The Rennais found the net first, when Martin Terrier gave them the lead on the 23 minute mark. However, their lead was short-lived, as Viktor Tsygankov equalised for Dynamo, 33 minutes in, to take a 1-1 lead into half time.

Rennes rallied after this and were rewarded, when Desire Doue gave them the lead just before the final whistle, seing the match finish 2-1.

Substitutions for Rennes included Desire Doue, Arnaud Kalimuendo, Matthis Abline and Adrien Truffert for Amine Gouiri, Lovro Majer, Martin Terrier and Benjamin Bourigeaud, respectively. Dynamo brought on Vladyslav Andriyovych Vanat, Oleksandr Karavaev and Kostiantyn Vivcharenko, to replace Vladyslav Kabaev, Viktor Tsygankov and Denys Popov.

The referee booked Illia Zabarnyi for Dynamo.

Rennes will next play Dynamo Kyiv away, with Dynamo facing Rennes at home.
