Real Sociedad 3-0 Sheriff: The White and Blues ease to big win
Real Sociedad see Sheriff Tiraspol off 3-0 on Thursday at the Reale Arena. Real were looking to continue their good run after winning their previous two matches against Sheriff Tiraspol away and Omonia Nicosia at home, by 2-0 and 2-1 respectively, while Sheriff were beaten 2-0 in their previous match against Real Sociedad. Real and Sheriff currently occupy 1st and 3rd spots in the league, with 12 points and 3 points respectively after 4 matches.
Real started strongly in the first half, when Alexander Sorloth opened the rout just before half-time
The White and Blues continued to pile on the pressure in the second period and were rewarded, when Diego Rico Salguero found the net on the 66 minute mark. However they weren’t finished yet and Robert Navarro made it 3-0 in the 81st minute to make it 3-0.
Substitutions for Real included Robert Navarro, Jon Karrikaburu, Urko Gonzalez, Take and Aritz Aranbarri for David Silva, Carlos Fernandez, Brais Mendez, Alexander Sorloth and Aritz Elustondo, respectively. Sheriff brought on Heron, Felipe Vizeu and Danila Ignatov for Pernambuco, Rasheed Ibrahim Akanbi and Gaby Kiki.
The referee booked Diego Rico Salguero from Real. Sheriff had the worst of it though, with Mudasiru Salifu and Armel Zohouri seeing yellow, and Armel Zohouri (2 yellow cards) then sent off with a red.
