Helsinki 0 – Betis 2: The Green-and-Whites travel to Helsinki Football Stadium and get victory

Helsinki suffer a first loss against Real Betis in their first match of the new Europa League Group Stage campaign. Today’s result, Helsinki are now in 4th place, with 0 points from 1 match, while Betis sit in 1st, with 3 points from 1.

Betis started the match strongly, when Willian Jose gave them the lead just before half-time, saw out the first half 1-0.

The Green-and-Whites continued to apply pressure in the second period and were rewarded, when Willian Jose found the net once more, at 64 minutes. The match ended with a 2-0 victory for the visitors.

Substitutions for Helsinki included Anthony Olusanya, Terho, Murilo, Matti Peltola and Perparim Hetemaj for Abdul Malik Abubakari, Pyry Soiri, Nassim Boujellab, Arttu Hoskonen and Lucas Lingman, respectively. Betis brought on Rodri, Luiz Felipe, Sergio Canales, Andres Guardado and Guido Rodriguez, to replace Juanmi, Victor Ruiz, Joaquin, Luiz Henrique and William Carvalho.

There were bookings for Nassim Boujellab from Helsinki. For Betis, Victor Ruiz, German Pezzella and Luiz Felipe saw yellow.

In the second round of action in the Europa League Group Stage Helsinki will travel to play Roma and Betis will play Razgrad Ludogorets at home.
