Dynamo 0-2 Fenerbahçe: Visitors steal the show at Marshal Jozef Pilsudski Stadium

Fenerbahçe secured a 2-0 win against Dynamo Kyiv at Marshal Jozef Pilsudski Stadium on Thursday. With both teams drawing in their previous fixtures, they were each keen to pick up points. Dynamo were on the hunt for more points after a 3-3 draw against AEK Larnaca. Fenerbahçe were unable to beat Rennes in a 3-3 draw. Following the final whistle at the end of the last match of the Europa League Group Stage season for both sides, Dynamo are now in 4th place on the table and have 1 point while Fenerbahçe sit in 1st with 14 points after 6 matches.

Fenerbahçe started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, when Arda Guler gave them the lead on the 23 minute mark. However they weren’t finished yet and Willian Arao made it 2-0 just before half-time, finishing the first half 2-0. Both teams struggled to produce anything meaningful in the second half, leaving the final score at 2-0.

Substitutions for Dynamo included Denys Garmash, Vladyslav Kabaev, Oleksandr Karavaev, Oleksandr Syrota and Samba Diallo for Volodymyr Shepelev, Artem Besedin, Vitaliy Buyalskiy, Kostiantyn Vivcharenko and Viktor Tsygankov, respectively. Fenerbahçe brought on Emre Mor, Irfan Kahveci, Joao Pedro, Miha Zajc and Ezgjan Alioski, to replace Arda Guler, Enner Valencia, Michy Batshuayi, Willian Arao and Lincoln.

The referee booked seven players. Denys Garmash, Illia Zabarnyi and Serhiy Sydorchuk from Dynamo, who saw yellow cards and Illia Zabarnyi (2 yellow cards), sent off with a red, as well as for Fenerbahçe Attila Szalai, Emre Mor and Irfan Kahveci received yellows.
