Arsenal 1-0 PSV: The Gunners sail through to Europa League knockouts
Arsenal beat PSV with a 1-0 victory on Thursday at Emirates Stadium. Both Arsenal and PSV arrived in good form, having secured victories in their previous matches. Arsenal were looking to pick up points after winning their previous two games in the competition. The most recent was against the Bodo Glimt away (1-0), the other to Bodo Glimt at home (3-0) whilst PSV were coming from consecutive wins against Zürich and Zürich. After an uneventful first half, Arsenal piled on the pressure in the second, when Granit Xhaka gave them the lead, 70 minutes in, leaving the final score at 1-0.
