Arsenal 3-0 Glimt: The Gunners in control against Norwegians
Arsenal banked all three points against the Bodo Glimt in a 3-0 victory on Thursday, at Emirates Stadium. Both Arsenal and Glimt arrived in good form, having secured victories in their previous matches. Arsenal were looking to continue their good run after winning last match whilst Glimt were looking to extend their winning run after a 2-1 victory against Zürich. Arsenal and Glimt currently occupy 1st and 3rd spots in the league, with 6 points and 4 points respectively after 3 matches.
The Gunners didn’t take long to get on the score-sheet, when Edward Nketiah opened the rout, 23 minutes in. They then scored again, pulling level thanks to a goal from Rob Holding in the 27th minute. The first half ended 2-0.
Arsenal continued to pile on the pressure in the second period and were rewarded, when Fabio Vieira found the net, at 84 minutes, leaving a rampant Arsenal with a resounding 3-0.
Substitutions for Arsenal included Gabriel Jesus, Martin Odegaard, Bukayo Saka, Ben White and Reiss Nelson for Gabriel Martinelli, Granit Xhaka, Marcus Vinicius, Kieran Tierney and Edward Nketiah, respectively. Glimt brought on Ola Solbakken, Albert Gronbaek, Marius Hoibraten, Lars-Jorgen Salvesen and Morten Konradsen for Joel Mugisha, Hugo Vetlesen, Marius Lode, Runar Espejord and Alfons Sampsted.
