Larnaca 1-2 Fenerbahçe: Visitors secure points with win at Aek Arena

Larnaca were defeated at home by Fenerbahçe at Aek Arena on Thursday. Larnaca were hoping to get something from this game after losing 2-0 to Fenerbahçe in their last match. Fenerbahçe, meanwhile, were coming from a 2-0 win against AEK Larnaca. Larnaca and Fenerbahçe are 3rd, (3 points) and 1st, (10 points), spots respectively, after 4 matches.

Fenerbahçe started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, when Joao Pedro gave them the lead on the 16 minute mark, to take a 1-0 lead into half time.

Larnaca started strong in the second half and were able to dominate, when Ivan Trickovski found the net on the 52 minute mark. In the end though, Fenerbahçe took the victory following a Michy Batshuayi goal, at 80 minutes. The match ended with a 2-1 victory for the visitors.

Substitutions for Larnaca included Giorgos Naoum, Pere Pons, Victor Olatunji, Rafael Lopes and Mikel Gonzalez for Rafail Mamas, Gus Ledes, Omri Altman, Ivan Trickovski and Oier, respectively. The referee booked Angel Garcia, Rafail Mamas, Ivan Trickovski, Victor Olatunji, Pere Pons and Imad Faraj from Larnaca and Angel Garcia (2 yellow cards) went off with a red card, while Fenerbahçe’s Arda Guler, Lincoln, Serdar Aziz and Gustavo Henrique also received a yellow.
