West Brom 2 – Huddersfield 2: Honours even and points shared at The Hawthorns

West Brom were held to 2-2 draw by Huddersfield down on Friday at The Hawthorns. Both sides arrived on the back of wins. West Brom were looking to continue their run after winning last match while Huddersfield were coming from consecutive wins against Peterborough United and Birmingham City. As the table looks today, West Brom and Huddersfield currently occupy 12th and 2nd spots in the table, with 50 points and 63 points respectively after 37 matches.
The Terriers started strongly in the first half, thanks to a goal from Danny Ward at the 24 minute mark, seeing out the first half 0-1.
Huddersfield took the lead in the second half, with Danny Ward finding the net again, 74 minutes in. However, The Baggies weren’t lying down and managed to pull back a goal from Karlan Grant, 84 minutes in. West Brom then scored once more and found an equaliser thanks to a goal from Andy Carroll just before the final whistle to make it 2-2.
For West Brom, Andy Carroll and Grady Diangana, came on for Darnell Furlong and Kyle Bartley. Huddersfield brought on Levi Colwill, Faustino Anjorin and Jordan Rhodes, to replace Danel Sinani, Sorba Thomas and Danny Ward.
There were bookings for Conor Townsend, Taylor Gardner-Hickman and Matt Clarke from West Brom, and Sorba Thomas and Jonathan Hogg, for Huddersfield.
West Brom will play their next fixture at home against Fulham, while Huddersfield will face Millwall away.
