Norwich 1-2 Middlesbrough: In-form Boro raid Carrow Road

Norwich were defeated at home by Middlesbrough at Carrow Road on Saturday. Norwich were looking to pick up points after winning last match. Boro were struggling for form following a draw in their last match. Norwich are currently 5th with 32 points from 21 matches, while Boro sit in 14th, with 27 points from 21.

The Canaries started strongly in the first half, when Josh Sargent found the net early in the first half, finishing the first half 1-0.

The Boro continued to pile on the pressure in the second period and were rewarded, when Riley McGree found the net, 64 minutes in. They then scored again, pulling level thanks to a goal from Matt Crooks just before the full time to make it 2-1.

Substitutions for Norwich included Onel Hernandez, Dimitris Giannoulis, Todd Cantwell, Marcelino Nunez and Jordan Hugill for Teemu Pukki, Sam McCallum, Aaron Ramsey, Gabriel and Josh Sargent, respectively. Boro brought on Matthew Hoppe, Matt Crooks, Rodrigo Muniz and Anfernee Dijksteel, to replace Marcus Forss, Riley McGree, Chuba Akpom and Isaiah Jones.

There were bookings for Isaac Hayden from Norwich, and Darragh Lenihan and Marcus Forss, for Boro.

Norwich will next travel to Swansea City, while Boro will face Luton Town at home.
