On Wednesday, West Brom and Cardiff were held to a 0-0 draw at The Hawthorns. West Brom were looking to get back their winning ways after losing their last match 2-1 to Blackburn Rovers whilst Cardiff were looking to extend their winning run after a 1-0 victory against Birmingham City. At the moment, West Brom are currently 22nd with 3 points from 4 matches, while Cardiff sit in 6th, with 7 points from 4.

Substitutions for West Brom included Jayson Molumby, Matthew Phillips, Callum Robinson and Adam Reach for Jake Livermore, Jed Wallace, John Swift and Karlan Grant, repectively. Cardiff brought on Callum O’Dowda, Kion Etete, Romaine Sawyers, Rubin Colwill and Mark Thomas Harris, to replace Jamilu Collins, Max Watters, Joe Ralls, Sheyi Ojo and Jaden Philogene-Bidace.
