Swansea 1 – Boro 1: The Swans can only manage draw at home

Swansea were held to 1-1 draw by Boro down on Saturday at Liberty Stadium. Swansea wanted to continue adding points following a disappointing 4-4 draw with Reading in their previous game. Boro had lost their previous match against Huddersfield Town. After today’s result, Swansea and Boro currently occupy 14th and 8th spots in the table, with 60 points and 64 points respectively after 44 matches.

Boro started the game well, thanks to Riley McGree finding the net just before half-time, seeing out the first half 0-1.

Swansea started strong in the second half and were able to dominate, with an early goal from Michael Obafemi in the 48th minute. The final result, Swansea 1, Boro 1.

For Swansea, Olivier Ntcham, came on for Ryan Manning. Boro replaced Duncan Watmore, Josh Coburn and Marcus Tavernier for Aaron Connolly, Andraz Sporar and Martin Payero.

There were bookings for Hannes Wolf and Cyrus Christie from Swansea. For Boro, Souleymane Bamba saw yellow.

Swansea will play their next fixture away against Nottingham Forest, while Boro will face Stoke City at home.
