Swansea 0-3 Blackburn: Rover leave the Liberty with impressive three points

Blackburn Rovers cruises against Swansea City on an away win at Liberty Stadium on Saturday. Swansea arrived with the intention of increasing their league score following a disappointing 1-1 draw with Rotherham United in their previous game. Blackburn, on the other hand, were coming from a 1-0 win against Queens Park Rangers. After today’s result, Swansea are in 22nd place in the table and have 1 point while Blackburn sit in 1st with 6 points after 2 matches.

Rovers started strongly in the first half, when Sammie Szmodics opened the rout, 39 minutes in and managed to see out the first half 1-0.

Blackburn continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, when Ben Brereton found the net, 57 minutes in. However they weren’t finished yet and Lewis Travis made it 3-0 in the 84th minute with a final score of 3-0.

Substitutions for Swansea included Jamie Paterson, Matthew Sorinola and Cameron Congreve for Jay Fulton, Joel Latibeaudiere and Olivier Ntcham, repectively. Blackburn brought on Tayo Edun, Tyrhys Dolan, Jack Vale and Tyler Morton, to replace Sammie Szmodics, Ryan Hedges, Sam Gallagher and John Buckley.

There were bookings for Jay Fulton, Joel Piroe and Michael Obafemi from Swansea, and Sam Gallagher, for Blackburn.

Swansea will play their next fixture away against Blackpool, while Blackburn will face West Bromwich Albion at home.
