Stoke 1 – QPR 0: The Potters secure 3 points at home against Rangers

Stoke City snatched all three points from Queens Park Rangers in a 1-0 victory on Saturday, at Bet365 Stadium. Both teams arrived in good form, having secured victories in their previous matches. Stoke were keen to hang onto their position at the top of league and extend their winning run after winning last match. QPR had been hopeful of extending their winning run, after a 1-0 victory against Derby County. As it stands, Stoke are in 12th place on the table and has 61 points while QPR sit in 10th with 63 points after 44 matches.
Stoke started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, with Jacob Brown giving The Potters the lead just before half-time Both teams unable to deliver anything further, the score remained at 1-0 at full time.
Both coaches used the full entitlement. For Stoke, Steven Fletcher, Sam Clucas and Tyrese Campbell, came on for Josh Maja, Romaine Sawyers and Jacob Brown, QPR brought on Albert Adomah, Charlie Austin and Andre Gray, to replace Luke Amos, Lyndon Dykes and George Thomas.
The referee booked Jimmy Dunne for QPR.
Stoke will next play Middlesbrough away, with QPR facing Sheffield United at home.
