Stoke 1 – Coventry 1: The Potters unable to break dead-lock with The Sky Blues

Stoke could only manage a 1-1 draw against Coventry in the last game of the Championship season. Following the final whistle at the end of the last game of the Championship season, Stoke and Coventry sit 13th (62 points) and 11th (64 points) in the league respectively, after a total of 46 matches.

Coventry dominated the first half, thanks to Viktor Gyokeres giving The Sky Blues the lead, 14 minutes in. However, their celebrations were kept brief, as Sam Clucas equalised for The Potters just before half-time, to take a 1-1 lead into half time. With both teams struggling to produce anything meaningful in the second half though, the game ended 1-1.

As for substitutions, for Stoke, D’Margio Wright-Phillips, James Chester and Romaine Sawyers, came on for Sam Clucas, Taylor Harwood-Bellis and Nick Powell, Coventry brought on Todd Kane, Jodi Jones and Matt Godden to replace Josh Eccles, Jordan Shipley and Callum O`Hare.

The referee booked Dominic Hyam for Coventry.
