Sheffield Utd 0-1 Rotherham: The Millers raid Bramall Lane in big upset

Sheffield U on Tuesday lost to Rotherham United on a home defeat at Bramall Lane. Sheffield U were looking to pick up points after winning their previous two matches in the league. The most recent was against the Burnley at home (5-2), the other to Bristol City away (1-0), while Rotherham had lost their previous match against Norwich City. Sheffield U are now in 3rd place on the table and have 35 points while Rotherham sit in 14th with 25 points after 9 matches.

The Millers started strongly in the first half, when Ben Wiles gave them the lead on the 38 minute mark, finishing the first half 1-0. Both teams struggled to produce anything meaningful in the second half, leaving the final score at 1-0.

Substitutions for Sheffield U included James John McAtee, Billy Sharp, Chris Basham and Reda Khadra for John Fleck, Enda Stevens, Anel Ahmedhodzic and James John McAtee, respectively. Rotherham brought on Brooke Norton-Cuffy, Hakeem Odofin and Tom Eaves for Peter Kioso, Oliver Rathbone and Jamie Lindsay.

There were bookings for Billy Sharp and Oliver Norwood from Sheffield U. For Rotherham, Lee Peltier, Viktor Johansson and Wes Harding saw yellow.

Next up, Sheffield U are away to Cardiff City, whilst Rotherham will travel to face Luton Town.
