Sheffield Utd 0-1 QPR: Rangers take points at Bramall Lane

Sheffield United fell to a home defeat at the hands of Queens Park Rangers at Bramall Lane on Tuesday. Sheffield U arrived with the intention of improving their league position following a disappointing 1-1 draw with Birmingham City in their previous game while QPR were able to continue their winning streak after a 2-1 win against Bristol City in their last match. Sheffield U are now in 1st place, with 24 points from 13 matches, while QPR sit in 3rd, with 21 points from 13.

Following a goalless first half, QPR certainly were out of the blocks quickly in the second half, when Chris Willock gave them the lead, 51 minutes in, leaving the final score at 1-0.

Substitutions for Sheffield U included Reda Khadra, Billy Sharp, Rhian Brewster and James John McAtee for George Baldock, Oliver McBurnie, Thomas Doyle and Jayden Bogle, respectively. QPR brought on Lyndon Dykes, Jake Clarke-Salter, Albert Adomah and Tim Iroegbunam, to replace Chris Willock, Tyler Roberts, Ilias Chair and Luke Amos.

There were bookings for John Egan from Sheffield U. For QPR, Leon Balogun and Jimmy Dunne saw yellow.

Sheffield U will next travel to Stoke City, while QPR will face Reading at home.
