Sheffield United beat Queens Park Rangers with a thumping 1-0 victory on Tuesday at Bramall Lane. Both sides came from defeats in their previous league games. Sheffield U were looking forward to meeting again after losing their last game 1-0 to Stoke City. QPR lost 2-0 in the last match they played against Fulham. As things stand, Sheffield U and QPR currently occupy 5th and 9th spots in the league, with 64 points and 59 points respectively after 22 matches.

The Blades started the first half well, thanks to Oliver Norwood giving Sheffield U the lead in the 9th minute. The score at half time was 1-0. With both teams struggling to produce anything meaningful in the second half though, the game ended 1-0.

Both managers used all available substitutions. For Sheffield U, Jack Robinson, Daniel Jebbison and Ben Osborn, came on for Filip Uremovic, Oliver McBurnie and Sander Berge, QPR brought on Andre Dozzell, George Thomas and Sam McCallum, to replace Jeff Hendrick, Andre Gray and Lee Wallace.

There were bookings for Filip Uremovic and John Fleck from Sheffield U, and Rob Dickie, Jeff Hendrick and Sam Field, for QPR.

Sheffield U will play their next fixture at home against Bournemouth, while QPR will face Preston North End away.
