Sheffield U 1 – Forest 1: Points shared at Bramall Lane after draw

On Friday, Sheffield U and Forest were held to a 1-1 draw at Bramall Lane. Sheffield U were hoping to get something from this game after losing 1-0 to Millwall in their previous fixture. Forest, on the other hand, were looking to extend their winning run after a 2-0 victory against Bristol City. As it stands, Sheffield U are currently 6th with 54 points from 36 matches, while Forest sit in 8th, with 52 points from 36.

After an un-eventful first half, The Blades took the initiative in the second half, with Billy Sharp giving Sheffield U the lead in the 69th minute. In the end though, their lead was short lived, as Ryan Yates equalised for Forest just before the final whistle. The final result, Sheffield U 1, Forest 1.

Both managers used the full entitlement. For Sheffield U, Ben Osborn, Daniel Jebbison and Oliver McBurnie, came on for Femi Seriki, Oliver Norwood and Billy Sharp, Forest brought on Sam Surridge, Alexander Mighten and Joe Lolley to replace Scott McKenna, Philip Zinckernagel and Jack Colback.

There were bookings for Jack Robinson, Ben Davies, Rhys Norrington-Davies and Oliver McBurnie from Sheffield U. For Forest, James Garner saw yellow.

Sheffield U will next travel to Coventry City, while Forest will face Reading at home.
