Rotherham 1-2 Norwich: The Canaries hold their nerve to beat The Millers

Rotherham on home loss to Norwich City at the AESSEAL New York Stadium on Saturday. Rotherham arrived at the match looking to pick up more points after losing their last match 3-2 to Burnley while Norwich were struggling for form following a draw in their last match. Rotherham are now in 17th place on the table and have 22 points while Norwich sit in 4th with 32 points after 20 matches.

Norwich started strongly in the first half, when Kenny McLean gave them the lead, 17 minutes in, saw out the first half 1-0.

The Millers staged a comeback in the second half, with an early goal from Oliver Rathbone in the 49th minute. The Canaries in turn, then responded on the 50 minute mark, grabbing the lead with an effort from Aaron Ramsey. The match ended 2-1 to Norwich.

Substitutions for Rotherham included Georgie Kelly, Chiedozie Ogbene, Lee Peltier and Tom Eaves for Conor Washington, Georgie Kelly, Grant Hall and Peter Kioso, respectively. Norwich brought on Todd Cantwell, Liam Gibbs and Jordan Hugill, to replace Aaron Ramsey, Sam McCallum and Teemu Pukki.

There were bookings for Chiedozie Ogbene from Rotherham, and Sam McCallum, Ben Gibson and Jordan Hugill, for Norwich.

Rotherham will next travel to Luton Town, while Norwich will face Middlesbrough at home.
