Reading 0-2 West Brom: The Baggies upset the odds to topple the Royals
Reading on Saturday lost to West Bromwich Albion on a home defeat at the Madejski Stadium. Reading were hoping to get something from this game after losing their last match 2-1 to Queens Park Rangers. West Brom had secured a point against Luton Town in their previous match. Reading are now in 6th place, with 22 points from 15 matches, while West Brom sit in 20th, with 14 points from 15.
The Baggies started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, when Matthew Phillips found the net, at 25 minutes, finishing the first half 1-0.
West Brom continued to pile on the pressure in the second period and were rewarded, when Taylor Gardner-Hickman found the net on the 72 minute mark, which sealed the victory for the visitors.
Substitutions for Reading included Yakou Meite for Andy Carroll, respectively. West Brom brought on Karlan Grant, Reyes Cleary, Jayson Molumby and Okay Yokuslu, to replace Brandon Thomas-Asante, Grady Diangana, Jake Livermore and Jed Wallace.
There were bookings for Tom Ince, Mamadou Loum and Tom McIntyre from Reading, and Matthew Phillips, for West Brom.
Reading will next travel to Swansea City, while West Brom will face Bristol City at home.
