West Bromwich Albion beats Reading 1-0 on Saturday at the Madejski Stadium. Reading were hoping to get something from this game, following a previous defeat to Hull City. West Brom, on the other hand, had managed to pick up a single point in their encounter with Coventry City. As it stands, Reading are currently 21st with 41 points from 45 matches, while West Brom sit in 10th, with 64 points from 45.
Following a goalless first half, West Brom continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, thanks to Karlan Grant finding the net at the 78 minute mark, leaving the final score at 1-0.
Both coaches used allfull available substitutions. For Reading, Kelvin Abrefa, Brandon Barker and Yakou Meite, came on for Terell Thomas, Ovie Ejaria and Tom Dele-Bashiru, West Brom brought on Zachary Ashworth, Callum Robinson and Quevin to replace Conor Townsend, Adam Reach and Matthew Phillips.
There were bookings for Daniel Drinkwater from Reading, and Matthew Phillips, Jayson Molumby and Zachary Ashworth, for West Brom.
Reading will next travel to Luton Town, while West Brom will face Barnsley at home.
