Reading 3-1 Huddersfield: The Royals sink The Terriers at the Madejski Stadium

Huddersfield Town on away loss to Reading at the Madejski Stadium on Saturday. Both Reading and Huddersfield arrived fresh from some positive results. Reading were looking to pick up points, following a 1-0 victory against Wigan Athletic. Huddersfield, meanwhile, were able to continue their winning streak after a 1-0 win against Cardiff City in their last match. Reading and Huddersfield currently occupy 3rd and 23rd spots in the league, with 21 points and 7 points respectively after 12 matches.
The Royals started strongly in the first half, when Tom McIntyre found the net on the 29 minute mark. They then scored again, pulling level thanks to a goal from Lee Nicholls, 36 minutes in, to take a 2-0 lead into half time.
Reading continued to pile on the pressure in the second period and were rewarded, when Yakou Meite found the net in the 81st minute. In the end though, Huddersfield pull-back via a Tom Lees goal just before the final whistle, leaving the final score at 3-1.
Substitutions for Reading included Tyrese Fornah, Yakou Meite and Mamadou Loum for Andy Yiadom, Andy Carroll and Lucas Joao, respectively. Huddersfield brought on Danny Ward, Ben Jackson, Connor Mahoney and Luke Mbete-Tatu, to replace Duane Holmes, Yuta Nakayama, Jack Rudoni and Ollie Turton.
The referee booked three players from Huddersfield, Sorba Thomas, David Kasumu and Connor Mahoney.
Reading will play at home against Norwich City, while Huddersfield will face Luton Town away.
