QPR 0-1 West Brom: The Baggies ease some pressure with Loftus Road victory

West Bromwich Albion beat Queens Park Rangers with a 1-0 victory on Saturday at Loftus Road Stadium. QPR were looking for a victory following a disappointing 0-0 draw with Norwich City in their previous game. West Brom, meanwhile, were able to continue their winning streak after a 1-0 win against Blackpool in their last match. QPR and West Brom currently occupy 4th and 22nd spots in the table, with 31 points and 20 points respectively after 20 matches.

After a goalless first half, West Brom continued to pile on the pressure in the second period and were rewarded, with a goal from Kyle Bartley, at 69 minutes. The final result, QPR 0, West Brom 1.

Substitutions for QPR included Andre Dozzell, Albert Adomah and Sinclair Armstrong for Luke Amos, Tim Iroegbunam and Ethan Laird, respectively. West Brom replaced Grady Diangana, Matthew Phillips, Erik Pieters, Jed Wallace and Okay Yokuslu for Brandon Thomas-Asante, Adam Reach, Conor Townsend, Taylor Gardner-Hickman and Jake Livermore.

There were bookings for Sam Field from QPR. For West Brom, Erik Pieters and Jayson Molumby saw yellow.

QPR will play their next fixture away against Coventry City, while West Brom will face Stoke City at home.
