QPR 1-2 Huddersfield: The Terriers sneak precious three points at Loftus Road

Huddersfield Town defeated Queens Park Rangers 2-1 on Tuesday at Loftus Road Stadium. Both teams arrived at the match with previous defeats in the league. QPR were looking forward to playing again after losing their last match 1-0 to West Bromwich Albion. Huddersfield lost 1-0 in their against Blackburn Rovers. QPR are now in 5th place, with 31 points from 9 matches, while Huddersfield sit in 24th, with 18 points from 9.

It was an impressive opening from QPR, with an early goal from Lyndon Dykes in the 2nd minute. However, their lead was short-lived, as an equalizer from Josh Ruffels, 9 minutes in, brought The Terriers level. Huddersfield then scored again and turned the match thanks to a second effort from Josh Ruffels, at 26 minutes, finishing the first half 2-1. Both teams unable to deliver anything further, the score remained at 2-1 at full time.

Substitutions for QPR included Jimmy Dunne, Macauley Bonne, Taylor Richards and Olamide Shodipo for Leon Balogun, Ethan Laird, Chris Willock and Albert Adomah, respectively. Huddersfield brought on Kaine Kesler Hayden, Jordan Rhodes, Connor Mahoney and Luke Mbete-Tatu, to replace Brodie Gilmore, Brahima Diarra, Duane Holmes and Ben Jackson.

The referee booked six players from Huddersfield, Brahima Diarra, Brodie Gilmore, Danny Ward, Sorba Thomas, Lee Nicholls and Jordan Rhodes.

QPR will next travel to Coventry City, while Huddersfield will face Swansea City at home.
