QPR 1 – Cardiff 2: The Bluebirds jubilant after away win against Rangers

Cardiff City snatched all three points from Queens Park Rangers in a 2-1 victory on Saturday, at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium. Both sides came from defeats in their previous league games. QPR were looking forward to meeting again after losing their last game 1-0 to Blackburn Rovers. Cardiff were beaten 1-0 in the previous match against Fulham. After today’s result, QPR and Cardiff sit 5th, (56 points) and 17th, (42 points), in the table respectively, after 36 matches.
QPR started strongly in the first half, thanks to Andre Gray finding the net in the 38th minute, to take a 1-0 lead into half time.
Cardiff continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, with a goal from Isaak Davies, 70 minutes in. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a goal from Rubin Colwill, 74 minutes in to make it 2-1.
Both coaches used all available substitutions. For QPR, Luke Amos, Albert Adomah and Andre Dozzell, came on for Chris Willock, Lee Wallace and Sam Field, Cardiff brought on Joel Bagan, Isaak Davies and Uche Ikpeazu for Alfie Doughty, Will Vaulks and Jordan Hugill.
The referee booked Rob Dickie for QPR.
QPR will next travel to Luton Town, while Cardiff will face Preston North End at home.
