Peterborough United 0 – Forest 1: Red dogs, fearless, go to Abax Stadium and win

Peterborough United were defeated at home by Nottingham Forest at Abax Stadium on Saturday. Both sides arrived on the back of wins. Peterborough United were looking to pick up points after winning their previous two games in the league. The most recent was against the Barnsley away (2-0), the other to Blackburn Rovers at home (2-1). Forest were coming off the back of a 4-0 win against West Bromwich Albion. As the table looks today, Peterborough United are in 22nd place, with 34 points from 44 matches, while Forest sit in 4th, with 73 points from 44.

Red dogs found the net first, with a goal from Sam Surridge just before half-time, finishing the first half 0-1. With both teams struggling to produce anything meaningful in the second half though, the game ended 1-0.

For Peterborough United, Jack Marriott and Joel Randall, came on for Ricky Jade-Jones and Jeando Fuchs. Forest brought on Joe Lolley, Lewis Grabban and Cafu, to replace Philip Zinckernagel, Sam Surridge and Lewis Grabban.

There were bookings for Harrison Burrows, Jack Taylor and Sammie Szmodics from Peterborough United, and Sam Surridge, Jack Colback and Brice Samba, for Forest.

Peterborough United will next travel to Millwall, while Forest will face Swansea City at home.
