Forest 4 – Reading 0: The Royals sunk with 4 goals at the City Ground

Reading fell to an away defeat at the hands of Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on Saturday. Forest were looking for a victory after a 1-1 draw against Sheffield United. Reading were beaten 1-0 in the previous match against Millwall. As the table looks today, Forest are in 9th place on the table and has 55 points while Reading sit in 21st with 29 points after 37 matches.

Forest started the game well, with an early goal from Keinan Davis in the 1st minute. They then managed to see out the first half 1-0.

Forest continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, with Keinan Davis finding the net again, at 62 minutes. Red dogs looked to have the game under control when they scored again and increased their lead, thanks to a goal from Ryan Yates at the 77 minute mark to establish a 3-0. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a goal from Sam Surridge at the 80 minute mark with a final score of 4-0.

Forest brought on Cafu, Sam Surridge and Alexandre Silva for Max Lowe, Keinan Davis and Brennan Johnson. Reading brought on Ovie Ejaria, Lucas Joao and Brandon Barker, to replace Andy Rinomhota, Daniel Drinkwater and Junior Hoilett.

There were bookings for Jack Colback and Keinan Davis from Forest. For Reading, Tom Ince, Andy Yiadom, Daniel Drinkwater and Michael Morrison saw yellow.

Forest will play their next fixture at home against Queens Park Rangers, while Reading will face Bournemouth away.
