Millwall were defeated at home by Reading at the Den on Saturday. Millwall were looking to get back their winning ways after losing their last match 2-0 to Norwich City. Reading were hoping to increase their winning streak after back-to-back victories against Middlesbrough and Blackburn Rovers. After today’s result, Millwall and Reading currently occupy 14th and 1st spots in the table, with 7 points and 12 points respectively after 6 matches.

The Royals started the match well, thanks to a goal from Naby Sarr at the 14 minute mark to see out the first half 1-0. With both teams struggling to produce anything meaningful in the second half though, the match ended 1-0.

Millwall brought on Andreas Voglsammer, Tyler Burey, Zian Flemming and George Evans for Scott Malone, George Honeyman, Tom Bradshaw and Jamie Shackleton. Reading brought on Shane Long and Junior Hoilett, to replace Lucas Joao and Tom Ince.

The referee booked one player from Reading, Tom Holmes.

Next up, Millwall are away to Burnley, whilst Reading will travel to face Sheffield United.
