Millwall 2-0 Middlesbrough: Clean sheet success for The Lions at home

Millwall enjoyed a home victory against Middlesbrough at the Den on Saturday. Millwall arrived with the intention of improving their league position after a 1-1 draw against Rotherham United. Boro were looking to extend their winning run after a 1-0 victory against Birmingham City. Millwall are now in 12th place, with 17 points from 14 matches, while Boro sit in 20th, with 13 points from 14.

Millwall started the first half well, with an early goal from Zian Flemming in the 5th minute, saw the first half 1-0.

The Lions started strong in the second half and were able to dominate, with an early second effort from Zian Flemming in the 49th minute. The match ended 2-0 to Millwall.

Substitutions for Millwall included Callum Styles, Benik Afobe, George Honeyman and Mason Bennett for Tyler Burey, Tom Bradshaw, Zian Flemming and Andreas Voglsammer, respectively. Boro replaced Ryan Giles, Hayden Hackney, Anfernee Dijksteel, Marcus Forss and Matthew Hoppe with Marc Bola, Riley McGree, Paddy McNair, Chuba Akpom and Rodrigo Muniz.

There were bookings for Murray Wallace and Tyler Burey from Millwall, and Paddy McNair and Isaiah Jones, for Boro.

Millwall will play their next fixture away against Bristol City, while Boro will face Blackburn Rovers at home.
