Millwall 2 – Hull City 1: Victory denied for visitors as The Lions win

Millwall beats Hull City 2-1 on Monday at the Den. Millwall wanted to continue adding points following a disappointing 1-1 draw with Preston North End in their previous game. Hull City were coming from consecutive wins against Cardiff City and Middlesbrough. As it stands, Millwall are in 7th place on the table and has 65 points while Hull City sit in 19th with 47 points after 43 matches.

After an un-eventful first half, Whatever was said in the dressing room at half time, seemed to have a positive effect on The Lions who started the second half well, with Scott Malone giving Millwall the lead at the 51 minute mark. The momentum was now with Millwall, who then scored again through a goal from Tom Bradshaw at the 55 minute mark to establish a 2-0. Hull City in turn, then responded just before the final whistle increasing their lead with an effort from Tom Eaves and seeing the game end 2-1.

Millwall brought on Shaun Hutchinson, Oliver Burke and Ryan Leonard for Scott Malone, Tyler Burey and Benik Afobe. Hull City brought on Tom Eaves, Marcus Forss and Lewie Coyle, to replace Regan Slater, Allahyar Sayyad and Callum Elder.

The referee booked Danny Ballard and Bartosz Bialkowski for Millwall.

Millwall will play their next fixture away against Birmingham City, while Hull City will face Reading at home.
